we call them iron sights in america too, i just prefer an aperture sight. it does have a bright red sight but my eyes just like a hole i guess rather then a notch

Ah, i see. Din't knew that. We use same word for both of them in Russian. But you can get one with bright dot on it right? It's easy to see.
