An estimated three million people have partied on one of Germany's busiest motorways.

But there was no need to dodge speeding lorries and cars.
A 40-mile stretch of the A40 autobahn linking Dortmund and Bochum was closed as part of the Ruhr.2010 European Capital of Culture festivities in the Ruhr region of Germany.
The world's longest table, stretching 37 miles, was laid out to allow tens of thousands of revellers to picnic in peace.

Ruhr.2010 festival organisers said the good weather meant millions of people had taken advantage of the living piece of artwork, although there was no official estimate of the turnout.
One lane of the autobahn was kept free for skaters and cyclists, while comedians, birthday parties and even a wedding featured on other sections of the motorway.
Organisers were expecting newly-weds and their guests to sit down at the world's longest wedding banquet.
"The motto of the Still-Life event is 'The table is your stage'," event spokeswoman Katharina Jarzombek said.
"Anybody can showcase their band, their hobby, their club or their group of friends."
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
Go For it ! !
