What if the allies took this as a sign that the US through Pres Obama was slipping in its commitment to the Afghan war?

What if, the allies used this to further pull resources from in theatre?

What if eventually, Europe just gave the US the bird and said "you started it, you finish it!"

Obama really isnt filling me with too much faith in his leadership "of the free world" or the US. Im not an American, but when I see a faltering series of decisions by Obama, I really start to worry.

I have a fear that things will get worse, way worse, before they get any better.

Agreed, but McCrystal should have kept his mouth closed. Don't get me wrong, I respect the man for all he's done. Maybe McCrystal was wanting to retired and decided to go out with a bang.

I like the new General a hell lot better, he already did a very good job in Iraq as far as I know and he's less interested in the limelight and more to get the job done.
