THIS is the shocking scene of filth inside a bungalow where 23 cats were living in "indescribable squalor".

Rubbish — including hundreds of empty tins of cat food — piled up FOUR feet high was discovered in the squalid home of David Tilley, 55, who has now been banned from keeping pets for three years.
Shocked RSPCA inspectors said they found the hallway in the house was covered in faeces, cans and rubbish with other rooms in a similar state.
The kitchen had empty tins of cat food piled on the floor up to the level of the filth-covered worktops.
And the cats was infested with fleas and had matted and soiled coats due to the "appalling" conditions at his home in Ashill near Watton, Norfolk.
One of the pets found only had one eye.
The cats had to be removed over a period of seven days as they were so nervous and not easy to catch.
Decay
Tilley was prosecuted for failing to care for the pets after RSPCA inspector David Podmore visited the property in January after a tip-off.
Insp Podmore had to force open the front door and was hit by the stench of ammonia and decay as soon as he stepped in the house, said Prosecutor Jonathan Eales.
He added that the inspector had found a black liquid underneath the debris.
All the pets were signed over to the RSPCA and most have now been successfully re-homed.

Sally Dale, defending Tilley, said his life had been on a downward spiral since his wife died of cancer 17 years ago.
She said the cats were always fed and that there was no deliberate attempt to cause them suffering.
Ms Dale said Tilley had no concept of how bad things had got by the time the RSPCA called at his home.
Presiding magistrate Elizabeth Hornegold said Tilley had kept the cats in "a disgraceful and squalid environment".
She added that the photographs of his home were among some of the worst pictures the bench had ever seen.
Tilley admitted 21 counts of failing to meet the welfare needs of his pets and was banned from keeping cats for three years, at Swaffham magistrates.
He was also given 100 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay costs of £5,179.
