It is very confusing. Even the Russian Soliders that invaded Ukraine denied being Russian Soliders. Actually the most badass guys run to explosions if people are near it not walk away from it. This guy is still a tough mother trucker lol but he's getting complacent and complacency in combat is deadly. Even in the interview he roughly said, uh oh I'm going to not get his exact statement I'm just going to state roughly what I remember he said, to the reporter after the rocket hit be-careful when those come in because things like this will go flying and can kill you and he picked up a big piece of shrapnel while saying that.

That being said when i was in Iraq 06-07 for the surge the first month or so everytime we got mortared or indirect fire we would run for cover, then after awhile you just get complaceint and 99% of the time didnt really do anything. You would just be like "Ahh thats not even close, were good" and not really do anything. Im not saying im brave, after awhile your just like "meh".
