I had posted a video a while ago. But it was just with the Humvee mount, in that vid It shows the Humvee stopping and the Gatling gun shooting at a brick building, takes it down in about 30 seconds. Nice vid Chappa

Was let down at first by seeing only 3 barrels... but then I heard the rate of fire... no so let down anymore :p
Only draw back is it seems to be a bit of a pain in the ass to load.... in an extended fire fight I'd hate to be the one up there trying to reload the SOB.

Kiowa and apache are mission specific. In this case, Kiowa would have simply been the test vehicle.
as for the gun, why not build a .50 gatling gun?
Seriously, the Gau-19 would have greater range if i'm not mistaken... probably fires close to twice as far with similar rate of fire.

@gutro........correct me if its wrong............apache is used for anti tank operation but kiowa is for close support of ground forces?

The reason they have both is because the Kiowa is a scout helicopter used for observation, utility, and direct fire support. The Apache was designed by the army because of its need to operate an anti armor aircraft and because the army sought a platform capable of greater firepower than the AH-1 cobra. Because of litigation the army is not authorized to operate a fixed wing aircraft. Its main role is anti armor but also conducts close air support missions and direct fire missions.

Kiowa and Apache are both used in the same roll but the Apache is a much faster and can target and take out alot more and do more at a further distance then the kiowa.
The Kiowa can can actually aim for the Apache buy that little eyeball on the top of the blade. But with the block 3 longbow,I have heard if one on them shows up on station it can fire at 5 different target's with its own radar dome. With the Kiowa ahead of the Apaches, if the Kiowa, has no hellfires on board or has ran out of them, the Apache can assign hellfires to there targets. Block three in that roll acts like an Airborne MlRS system firing mulitable rockets and each hitting there own assigned target nice vid by the way and about the gatling 50 on a kiowa the Kiowa carry's a 20 mm gun pod and single barrel 50 cal this gatling is aimable instead of having to use bore sighting to fire it can be aimed and it lays down much more then the singlebarrel 50 I feel sorry for the ones on the receiving end NOT no more getting away from its hell it unleashes

It would be nice if the magazine was slung under the ring, inside the crew compartment. Safer to reload, and it could be slightly larger. Still, she's a hungry, sexy beast, and i would love some trigger time.
