Seee this is why putting a rifle and firing blindly into anything that your bullets may land is not worth it. These guys must have no advisors from Iraq, perhaps because they did not survive, telling them not to do this. The enemy has a distinct advantage in these sorts of situations, he is wondering who you are shooting at, why he wasn't informed that reinforcements had arrived, why his reinforcements are in a drainage ditch and a random field. With all of those questions he then proceeds to say, "Fuck it then, I'll just kill this guy."

Moral of the story: Shooting over walls blind, will get you dead.
