I find this highly suspicious, not least becasue one of the first things you would do is remove his helmet and face covering removing his anonimity. It all seems too convinient and his claims to be a US citizen suit the Russian case for intervention.

It's hard to extrapolate a situation like this given the geopolitical situation of the day. Normally, I imagine Russia would do everything in its power to make sure a video like this never saw the light of day. A recording of an American being beaten & tortured by Russians in a sovereign nation would bring them no propaganda value. In fact it would inflame US citizens & would likely provoke a serious reaction from every US President save Jimmy Carter & our current chief. Putin (Russia) knows our president is impotent & he could be seen hanging American women & children from every bridge over the Dnieper River without a whisper of protest from US leaders or media. What a contrast in Presidential personalities today's world illustrates; Ronald Reagan took the Soviet Union head on at during it's heyday, a time when they scared the hell out of us & on the other hand, while still reeling from the cold war, B.H.O promises Putin his full & complete capitulation as soon as he is free from electoral judgement by American citizens. Actually, he didn't promise Putin directly, he asked Putin's lapdog to please pass along his promise to Vladimir. That's because Putin didn't feel Obama was worthy of a face to face.
