From what I have read the isil and isis are the same al-qaeda from iraq. Recently disowned by al-qaeda and told to go back to iraq.Sunnis and mujahideen, now al-qaeda Is pushing the Jabat Al-nursa in Syria,basically still a shit sandwich.lol

ISIL are such wackos that even al Qaeda have disowned them. al Nusra have also distanced themselves from them, but ISIL are powerful and have a lot of Iraq sewn up. So we get Assad/SAA versus the FSA, al Nusra and ISIL. But the latter two say the FSA are wooly-minded liberals and so fight them as well as Assad. Simple really.
