I think his reflex holding his trigger finger shot the rpg at the same time his organs were jellified, Just my thought.

I saw back blast from the RPG in the slow mo....I think this is why you keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.

It's old, he was pissing around silhouetting all the time and the tank picked him out pretty effectively in the end. Well effective in that the he was carried away in a couple of buckets and two carrier bags.
