Interesting video, the Skyhawks didn´t have any sistem to block or eliminate the guide missiles or the radars. Nonetheless they were attacking equally the English positions

Good story, well told... wish I could see some gun cam or even hear the chatter on the radio.

The useful thing with the Harrier was the ability to "VIF" - Vector in flight. Enabled a quick change of direction that on occasions confused the enemy. Good account of air action.

Seemed to me that the A4's either weren't paying attention or didn't expect air support. sounded like they were just in a line waiting to be picked off

They should have been expecting something, after all they were enemy planes, over British territory, attacking British troops who were defending British people with British task force already in the area. loose sight, loose the fight.

I watch a documentry on the war, when this happen the harriers where at Angel's10, there was no way they know they where going to get hit. The A4 only has foward looking radar not look down type radar Even with the harrier's look down shoot down radar it did not spot them, one of the harrier pilots spotted them going away from the attack and and quickly got a message off started a dive towards them.He got tone right away and shot one fired another almost imediatly and then got tone on the other and got that one to in one pass.
The Argentina pilots knew there was cap, but where it was they had no clue. Harriers in the war usally flew the same like the argentine pilots low and fast and only popprd up once in a while when approaching know routes of the argentine air force.

Maybe there were not expecting a CAP because they were told HMS Invincible had been hit, something their propaganda machine was [is] keen on repeating!?

Thanks Serpa, that makes a ton of sense.
