Ok, so I just read the MOH story and it doesn't go along with this commentary at all... i may have misheard this video, but it sounded like they were air lifting him out as a wounded man, but he only took some shrapnel to his arm, and from the sounds of the MOH story, there were far more serious injuries than his.
That being said, we don't know when this air lift occurred.... this video could have been an hour or more AFTER the ambush and after more severely wounded men were already picked up.
All I'm saying is there isn't enough evidence to me to say it DIDN'T happen as it's written.

Seriously though MOH awards aren't given out like candy. They have almost unbelievable requirements to be awarded and there is a background investigation before one is awarded. Serious doubt here that this is something that could deny the MOH award happened as reported. Everybody gets their chance to talk about the action, the person that is in for the award doesn't submit themselves for award, and if somebody thought that it wasn't a valid action they would have said so.

Gotta be really careful about throwing things out there bu187 as a fact, especially where there is a lot of other evidence involved. You are basically calling the most rarest of american soldiers (a MOH awardee) a liar, as well as those that testified under oath about the action.

Just remember that MOH storys have to be documented by other people, at the time it happened. Meaning people that where there and most MOH recipients dont like to talk about what happened, they call it just doing there job. I think every living MOH recipent has said that in interviews and not to many live to say that.
I also have read the story, he did have a shrap metal wound to his arm. That is why he was being evacutaed and the afgan fighters where going back to fight on this fight lasted 6 hours.
This video was the one of the evacuation of wounded. On any account there where others recomended for the MOH and this man well deserved the award, After he was awarded the Medal the guy almost took his own life. Afganistan was not his only field of battle he also served in Iraq.:medalofhonor: :USA:
