I find it pretty funny that anybody on this site says they ever believed in him? For as long as I've been here there has been nothing but hate for president Obama. No offense but there are too many trolls on this site who show way too much hate and racist tendencies.
You have to admit though that a site like this draws this kind of crowd. Of course, honesty is hard to find these days.
The "birthers" and Tea Party sh!theads are only a handful of the population but their influence and power is strong enough to cause tons of problems for the rest of us Americans who are simply trying to make this country deal with it's ever growing problems.
Case in point...Government is too big? Unless it comes to law enforcement and the military industrial complex. There isn't a weapon system or law enforcement agency the Republicans won't support. Their idea of smaller government is fewer teachers, and zero environmental regulation, etc...

The idea that taking the referee out of the game that has always been fixed in this country is absolutely insane. If the Republicans had it their way they would let the N.F.L spend as much money as they want (being that it's privately owned) on their own personal referees and call it "freedom" even though you and I both know what the outcome of that would be.
The N.F.L is as apple pie as America gets and yet for decades we (the taxpayer) have been paying for stadiums that few of us can even buy tickets for.
The republicans are always screaming "socialism" when it comes to anything the government does but when it comes to the N.F.L...strangely quiet?
The N.F.L is as socialist as it gets. No team goes bankrupt...ever! they share the profits and get American workers to buy the stadiums they play in. where are the Republicans calling out real socialism in this country?
how about the defense contractors that can't support themselves other than the taxpayer money they need to survive?
Again, republicans are strangely quite on that matter.

C'mon you guys. Show some courage and honesty on this site. Quit bullshitting and call it as it is. This country and too many Americans are so damn hypocritical it makes my stomach turn. The world see's it too which is why America has lost it's credibility. It's the actions you take and lately I haven't seen much from the Republicans.
I'm from the "Reagan Revolution" but what I have found in my later years is that there was nothing revolutionary about Reagan or any president that has followed since.

EXCONservative: I would reply and quote you but its a bit too long. If you want budget cuts and smaller government, as I do, lets start talking about 3 and 4 letter institutions. NSA, CIA, DIA, FBI, HHS, etc.. All of those have overstepped their bounds and are getting away with it thanks to a judiciary that only knows how to bend over in front of liberals, and a president who seems to decide on the fly what is legal and what isn't.

I am glad for his sake that he didn't decide to bomb Syria. Little evidence on that one and little worldwide support. Wouldn't it be interesting to see somebody that thinks so highly of themselves commit a war crime if the Syrian's didn't do it? Hmmm. Dragged in front of the world court? This is the direction we are all headed and he needs to pay attention or he is going to end up with his ass in a sling.

Most people that don't like him, don;t like him because he's pure Chicago politics at its worst: Say one thing and do another, turning yourself into a liar, or worse, say what you mean and do what you say, making you a socialist in this case. Oddly a term that he does not like. Man up Obama, own it. No respect for him at this point, and no, I wouldn't piss on him to put out the fire. Luckily for me the secret service would never let me get close enough anyways so I have that going for my conscience.

Besides the government shutting down and all? Not much. Personally I think its about time we had a hard look at our spending and if it takes this to get us to that point then so be it. Can't keep spending money like we don't have to borrow it, we lose our sovereignty bit by bit every time we extend our debt limit and borrow more money. Most of that cash comes from China, not exactly a friendly country and definitely not aligned with our western philosopy. What happens when they decide that they don't like us supporting Taiwan like we do and decide to stop funding our debt? Its called a crisis if we keep spending like we do. We need more than a balanced budget, we need to start paying down the debt and stop calling it a surplus. Its not a surplus when you owe trillions.
