When talking about the guidance system on the X-47b its whats called man out of the loop. The predator and other current UAV are man in the loop. The difference is when a predator is sent up in the air there is a team controlling everything that's happening from a remote location. Everything meaning just like you would be flying except remotely. The man out of the loop system is antonymous and the plane is controlling itself. It controls taxiing, flight control check, engine run up, and take off and landing and all maneuvers in the air. It takes off goes to a predetermined area that it receives from ground control then is told to come back. It can go on standby for 80 hours it can refuel in the air and can safely land in zero vis conditions. Its like having a pilot in the cockpit only a electronic computerized one. And next up SKYNET or whatever hopefully they don trie to puull da plug.
