Does the round cook off in the tube due to heat? Would 5 rounds be enough (obviousy I guess ... just seems like it shouldn't)? Seems like I've seen vid's of American military dropping lots of mortar rounds and this not happening.

Mortars rounds have two safty trigers inside, fisrt one is activated when mine is pushed out, and second one when mine hit the ground and then explode! In this situatiion they had bad mine, with first safty already activated, and when they fired boom! It was widly used in balkan war, when they live outpost in a hurry they broke mines, so when others fired them this will happen. The same way i lost my buddy on 120mm mortar
