View Full Version : (POLL) User rank revamp
I have an idea to revamp user ranks to a military system. When someone creates an account on AC they start out as a private. This user will gain additional ranks by being a part of the community, by posting threads, replying to threads, uploading videos, and getting karma points (karma system not implemented yet). As you go through the ranks starting with private, then private first class, corporal, sergeant etc, you will gain more and more privileges. Eventually when you get to a general rank you will become an official moderator. Understand that current moderators will automatically get a general rank (since they are already moderators) Also all other members of the site which have been with us for a long time/premium posters etc, will automatically get a certain rank. (so no, current AC members would not all start out with a private rank). Please vote in this poll. Thanks!

I negotiated with stark before that supporters have a coloured nick they were green on forum posts/chat and comments.
Could this be happening in the future?

I love this idea, as long as it isn't navy rank (I don't get the whole boats and anchors thing :D )! Seems fitting for a military oriented site also. MIR with rank scares me though :D .

Yep no more donations required. We will be putting links up in the future to military foundations like the wounded warrior foundation. I suggest you consider donating there in the future. There is a good chance all bugs will be fixed by new years day, or perhaps even sooner.

Most likely going to use U.S. army ranks. Going to be as easy to understand as possible. (so no navy ranks/russian ranks sorry fellas )

What about anyone who can prove their active duty or veteran military service, should get a higher ranking automatically, or some extra privileges.

But then, I just now notice my badge is gone... wtf? Oh well, I give up on this site. Smooth transition my ass.
goinloco1, we are working on a variety of issues right now. Try to be patient. Feel free to send me a personal message for any problems you are experiencing, and that goes for anyone else as well.
Its sounds good to me. Of course I am all for the Navy ranks but i'll settle for the Army system!
