Hey everybody, I've been a long time visitor of AC but mainly a lurker. I've always wanted to join but I never took the initiative. Well I run into one of my friends who recently graduated airborne school and he referred me to the recruiters. He told me he's going to the 160th SOAR as a door gunner, lucky bastard.
Well i'm currently in the process of enlisting in the U.S. Army. I took my ASVAB not too long ago and scored a 74 on my AFQT score. I am going for a 19D Cavalry Scout but wanted to ask the AC community what to expect with this MOS. I would honestly be honored just to serve but I wanted a good idea of what to expect to better prepare myself. If anybody could give me some more insight I would greatly appreciate it.
