Joined a few weeks back.
I'm getting on towards 60. Served my country (UK) for some years. Fortunate enough to survive some hairy stuff. Sadly my best mate Corporal 'Snowy' didn't. Lost the top of his head in Belleek. We instituted a hot chase and nailed the fucker who got him. Can't forget that day. The MoD still won't let me back.
Saw some stuff elsewhere as well the standard BAOR bollocks. Did some time out east, can't talk about the bulk of it like Steven Mitchell has done.
Finally started cracking up, headpeople got me out on a medical and down the tubes I went. Drink,drugs, smack, crack you name it, I'd take it.
Fortunate enough to get put through rehab by the bank I work for, many like me don't make it. The traders regard me as an old dinosaur but I keep 'em place and can help them out sometimes.
I was hugely lucky. Please remember all those who don't get out.
Also take a variety of drugs so if I act curious sometimes, it's probably me having a bit of an odd eveing!
