They have been tested over and over again through completion of a variety of sorties and have yet to show sign of slowing down. Growing up these guys were my hero's, and still are. I hold huge respect for them and figured the rest of the AC community would enjoy this new PSA that they just released.

That is so awesome. I grew up in a little town outside of Kokomo In. Back in the day Grissom Air Force Base had an A-10 attachment. I grew up with them flying over our farm all the time. One of my favorite jets of all time. I actually was able to sit in the cockpit of one. Badass birds!!!! It has been awhile since I have been up to Indy, but I use to go to the Grissom Air Shows all the time when I was younger. When I was in my late teens we use to go to Grissom Air Force base and sit outside the runway on top of the truck hood with a 12 pack and watch them do their maneuvers. Kick Ass! Good to here from a Hoosier. I did not know Fort Wayne had an A-10 attachment, but it has been 11 years since I have been back there. Thanks p8ntbll288.

They A-10 has gone from extinction to an almost neccesity for COIN operations. Hope to see this bird in serve for a long time to come.

I've been a lifelong resident of southern Indiana, and have had the pleasure of seeing A-10s, C-130s, Blackhawks, Apaches, etc. doing terrain flying training out of Camp Atterbury. I loved it as a kid, and now my kids love seeing it. The wife not so much, those C-130s make the house shake. I even was able to see A-10s dropping training bombs and shredding old school buses with their cannons from the Atterbury training range control tower (my neighbor growing up knew the right people). Good to see fellow Hoosiers here!
