I was there. This was in 2008 in the Jalrez Valley, in Wardak. We went the furthest into this valley since the russians were there. Second lift landed into a hot LZ. Took rpg's before we hit the ground. We had to assault up the mountain to the left to clear the obj. Was flat out madness. Took fire for a few hrs until the A10's came in. 3 day operation....i kno how intel reports r (suspect usally). They said we killed over 100 fighters. Dunno if thats accurate but I do kno that it was fucking crazy.

RPG. You can see the trail of it comin in right before it impacts. They shot a fuck ton of em of there. Also shot quite a few of willy p mortars and rockets at us too.

We sent guys out to mark an LZ for a resupply and they started gettin lit up when they got there. Immediately broke contact. You can see the green smoke from where they were set up. They made it back just fine, just were a lil smoked from the run.

Been a member for awhile...but thanks stark. Thanks for the support guys. Ya , we killed 1 as we assaulted the building and took 2 casualties in the process then the second day we smoked one guy who decided to take an afteroon stroll about 250m away with an RPK. These guys in the video were our support by fire. They did fucking outsanding man. Our snipers took care of about 12 themselves. This place is the wild west man, no doubt about that. The building we assaulted was a mess, a quadrupal stacked terraced building. Everytime we went to the next floor we had to go outside and had to completely expose ourselves to the fire from the valley floor. I have a bunch of videos from the A10's and a couple helmet cam vids. The A10's flat out saved our asses. They ended the fight just as quick as it started. Intel reports said in the entire operation, over 3 days we killed an estimated 100 enemy fighters. I dont always believe those reports but who knows cuz there was a huge amount of fire. It was one of the craziest ops I personally have ever been on.
