If you disagree with Obama, I've noticed three assumptions tend to be made...

1- You're a racist.

This one is a no-brainer and it works. When all else fails, like legitimate and mature debate, simply scream racism. It's key.

2- You hate the poor.

Frankly, I'm not crazy about the idea of my government taking my hard earned cash and giving it to a lazy dope addict who has 30 kids with 8 different people. So, I guess I hate the poor.

3- You must be a far-right Conservative nut who only watches Fox News.

If you disagree with "The Almighty Chosen One", it's impossible to have views that cross both parties and you must only watch and read Fox News.

As for the fox news watching racist cracker, from an outside perspective its just successful word association by the left, the infamous "us vs them" attitude which seems to plague American politics, its fascinating.

If Obama supporters claim enough times that critics of obama are racist whatevers then people will believe it and critics will fear speaking out. It's a lot easier to dismiss a point of view if you can simply not think about it and just say "oh well, he's a racist fox news watcher" and get on with life.

If my reaction to Obama's presidency could be summed in one word it would be "Huh..!". Let me just start off by stating I deem FDR to be perhaps the greatest American that ever lived. Having said that, with everything that went on prior to the start of Obama's first campaign, his actual campaign, and the commencement of his presidency I expected a new New Deal. Instead, approaching the end of his first term I can genuinely ask myself, "WTF happened?". I can state that because I genuinely don't know! He's not a radical, his presidency fizzled like a wet fart. IMO he is more concerned with his legacy than doing anything beneficial. The ONLY positive note I CAN see is he didn't let up on AQ, as a matter of fact he pounded them assholes. Like it or not, he is the CinC and the buck stops there. If Romney becomes our next prez it won't be because he deserves it as he'll win it by default because Obama's probably squandered the opportunity of a 2nd term. As for Romney, cmon America is this the best we can do? He's an empty fucking suit not a statesman, someone like Putin will run rings around him.

I criticized Obama's Yemeni drone strike program the other day in my political science class for being counter productive and no one called me a racist, I criticized Obama for neglecting state's rights on issues like medical marijuana at occupy wall street, no one called me racist, when I went to the Tea Party, I criticized Obama for continuing to spend on private defense contractors and other wasteful military outlets (Haliburton, etc) while veterans aren't getting the adequate care they deserve back in the States, and no one called me racist.

I criticize Obama all the time in fact, and no one has EVER accused me of racism... So I guess what I'm trying to say is that's sort of a ridiculous assertion you've made, but I understand that SOME people MAY default to claims of racism when they shouldn't, but it's probably because often when people criticize Obama, they do pander to racist morons-- like that whole birth certificate nonsense, but really you can find a new idiot saying racist things about Obama (on national platforms) every 6-8 hours.
