Ramsbottom, a small village in the north of Greater Manchester holds a World War Festival each year but organizers are considering banning all German uniform after a number of participants turned up in full Nazi uniforms, one of them dressed as Herman Goering. There was a backlash after a Jewish couple were asked if they would dress up as “persecuted refugees and wear a yellow star while carrying a battered suitcase”.
