Ah crap lol, didn't worked the way it was intended. Basically a picture of the bridge taken in such way that you can see the whole bridge. Just should be a bit bigger to appreciate.

Dead city Kadichan. Way east in Russia there are many of those. Mostly build to support nuclear or other power plants, coal mines and such in the Soviet times. Now are just a huge monuments of a very sophisticated system of cities that was build in the USSR at that time.
In the winter it was up to -60 Celsius there, so all those cities were very advanced in communication and other things.
Now you can go and pick an apartment there if you want :)

South Russian shepherd. Interesting fact is:
Our friends communists in USSR almost made sure that this beautiful dog was almost gone in Russia. It was then imported from US where it was breaded on a small scale and only after that its population began to rise slowly.
Now a popular dog if you have the time and space. Very good guardian dog and amazing with children.
Had one when i was a kid.
But BIG lol.

Although it looks like a regular lake that entire picture is several hundred meters underwater!
Underwater lakes, or brine pools, are areas of water with an extremely high concentration of salt (salinity). The concentrations of salt are so high that the mixture is heavier than water and so lies underneath the normal sea salted water. These lake can be found hundreds of meters below the surface on the ocean floor.

First ones just outside of Yellowstone, over looking mamouth springs.
Second I took at Thermopolis at the hot springs.
Third is a GREAT place, Hells half acre in Wyoming. It is closed now, but you can still stop and go down into the canyon and wander about. One of the coolest places I've ever been, in the middle of the plains.
i have one of those ???
One of those what?

I now realize that my addition of natures wonders was not natural but artificial. I will leave it up just for an example of what not to post on a natural beauty thread. Now I will gather a more appropriate image. Sorry about that. Play the sad Charlie Brown music now as I hang my head in shame.:P

I have never seen it in person but Stonehenge has always made me wonder since I first saw it in books as a boy. With it being from possibly 3000BC how the hell did those people construct it? It is possibly a burial site from what I read. It is amazing to think about the amount of time and history that has transpired while this collection of stones remains unaffected.
I know there have got to be a few apaches especially our Euro crowd that have been to this in person. I would like to see someones personal pics if they have em.
Thanks for all the other post very good especially the private additions.

A very interesting thing here. In the 70s, the city i was born in was under a constant threat from mud slides from the mountains. What they did is they blew up 2 huge mountains in order to make a dumb (Hope spelling is good :P) and protect the city. Here is a picture from the explosion and the final result. The one in the back that is.
