OK since myself and Chrisco were discussing beer on a frontpage post I wanted to start a forum thread and see what kind of beers we all like?
Since many of us are spread all over the world there are many different beers out there many of us have never heard of that after some input here we will then go out and find possibly a new favorite brew.
I dont drink as much as when I was younger but on special occasions I will have a brew. If someone suggest some new beers to try I might make next weekend my personal summer beer fest. It will be 4th of July weekend next week so perfect timing.
Chrisco suggested an Aussie beer called Blue Tongue so Im on a mission to find it here in central Florida and I will let you know when I find it.
Maybe post pictures of your favorite beer as well..... this can be a beer porn thread.
Enjoy

I really like the Corona with lime wedges gimmick
my go to beer is Mich ultra or Bud light for the low calorie properties
Heineken and Grolsch are two beers I used to like to drink a lot but just dont appeal to me now.
Samual Adams I will drink sometimes as long as its in a frozen beer glass.
I like Fosters although I haven't had it a long while it was a steady party beer for the oil can was like having two beers in one (25ounces).

I love to drink Beer or as a lot of Aussies say, "drink piss"
This is my beer of choice atm, yeah its only a "mid-strength" but it tastes great and the calories are on the low side, which suits me as i need to stay fit(ish). It's a 9/10 from me and probably most of Queensland.
http://resources1.news.com.au/images/2009/03/02/va1237357704290/XXXX-Gold-6510861.jpg
If i had to buy another brand, it would likely be Tooheys New. It's also very popular with the younger working class demographic. It's a nice full strength beer that you can drink all day. Worthy of 8/10
http://kd59.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/tooheys_new_large.jpg
Another Tooheys brand, "Extra Dry"...A lot of mates swear by it, it's drinkable but i don't share the sentiment. 6/10
http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=407676&stc=1&d=1307719121
Lastly this is that "Blue Tongue" lager you mentioned. It's pretty good, not my regular taste but i'd actually probably give it 7/10
http://www.shortysliquor.com.au/online-shop/catalog/images/bluetonguelrg_image.gif
There are a lot of beers over here in Australia, too many to mention but i usually stick with XXXX Gold.

Austrian beer called "Fucking Hell"
11163
this is not a joke!
The savviest beer company ever has just won the right to call its new brew “Fucking Hell”—Fucking being a town in Austria, and Hell being a term for light ale. The mayor of Fucking—the mayor of Fucking—is presumably despondent for many reasons, and now, according to Der Spiegel (via Slate), he is upset because the new beer is likely to attract visitors, and therefore vandalism. “Twelve or 13 town signs have been stolen. We’ve taken to fixing them with concrete, welding and rivets,” he said, tragicomically.
The Trade Marks and Designs Registration Office of the European Union is taking this all very literally, which only makes it funnier. Said a statement: “The word combination claimed contains no semantic indication that could refer to a certain person or group of persons. Nor does it incite a particular act. It cannot even be understood as an instruction that the reader should go to hell.” A toast to Fucking Hell!http://www.fucking-hell.at/en/

Nuclear beer sounds potent and on that note Icehouse beer is an old favorite that has a bit more alchohol than the average American beer.
I like Molson and Moosehead I have had those at one time or another in my life. Guiness is the Black in Black and Tans and the tan being Bass Pale Ale I believe. I am a gentleman that prefers blonds when it comes to beer the dark dark beers are a bit too much for my American beer upbringing.
Awesome post so far guys I will post pictures of some beers I find here and try some of your suggestions ASAP.

rickards red
i have a recipes using rickards red, very good
INGREDIENTS
10 lbs. prime rib of beef, rolled and tied
5 cloves garlic, slivered
6 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 bottle Rickard’s Red
Black pepper
Rotisserie
THE MOVES
Cut garlic cloves into slivers and insert into the roast. Combine the Dijon mustard, thyme, pepper and a splash of Rickard’s Red and spread mixture over the roast. Insert the rotisserie spit through the centre of the roast and fasten with forks. Check to ensure that it is balanced. Remove the cooking grids and set the rotisserie rod in the slots of the barbecue casting. Let the heaviest side of the meat rotate to the bottom. Adjust the balancer to the top of the rod, opposite the heaviest side of the meat. Tighten the rod handle. Place the roast over a drip pan filled with the remaining beer and 1-2 cups of water: take it to a new level of deliciousness with that bottle of Rickard’s Red. Roast at medium for 3 1/2 hours until the temperature reaches 140°F/60°C, using the meat thermometer. Let stand 20 minutes before carving.
if you go on rickards red website they also have recipes for burgers, steak and wings

In the autumn you can get a season dark beer called Bock, also very good.

Investment Advice
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today!
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33.00 today.
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.
But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for the recycling refund, you would have received $214.00.
Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.
And as a bonus... A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that on average Americans drink 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means that the average American gets about 41 miles to the gallon! Makes you damned proud to be an American!

Beer drinkers rejoice: Your favorite brew may be healthier than you think.
For years, wine drinkers have indulged without guilt, reveling in the news that red wine can help protect against heart disease. Recent research shows that beer can also be good for what ails you, from reducing risk for broken bones to helping warding off diabetes and mental decline. It can even increase longevity, a large study suggests.
However, the key to tapping into beer’s benefits is moderation, meaning just one 12-ounce beer per day for women and two for men. Heavy drinking ups the threat of liver damage, some cancers, and heart problems. Bingeing on brewskis can also make you fat, since a 12-ounce regular beer has about 150 calories, while light beer has about 100.
Read about common diet myths that are dangerous to your health
Here are 10 surprising—and healthy—reasons to cheer about your next beer.
1. Stronger Bones
Beer contains high levels of silicon, which is linked to bone health. In a 2009 study at Tufts University and other centers, older men and women who swigged one or two drinks daily had higher bone density, with the greatest benefits found in those who favored beer or wine. However, downing more than two drinks was linked to increased risk for fractures.
For the best bone-building benefits, reach for pale ale, since a 2010 study of 100 types of beer from around the word identified these brews as richest in silicon, while light lagers and non-alcoholic beers contained the least.
2. A Stronger Heart
A 2011 analysis of 16 earlier studies involving more than 200,000 people, conducted by researchers at Italy’s Fondazion di Ricerca e Cura, found a 31 percent reduced risk of heart disease in those who quaffed about a pint of beer daily, while risk surged in those who guzzled higher amounts of alcohol, whether beer, wine, or spirits.
More than 100 studies also show that moderate drinking trims risk of heart attacks and dying from cardiovascular disease by 25 to 40 percent, Harvard reports. A beer or two a day can help raise levels of HDL, the “good” cholesterol that helps keep arteries from getting clogged.
3. Healthier Kidneys
A study in Finland singled out beer among other alcoholic drinks, finding that each bottle of beer men drank daily lowered their risk of developing kidney stones by 40 percent. One theory is that beer’s high water content helped keep kidneys working, since dehydration increases kidney stone risk.
It’s also possible that the hops in beer help curb leeching of calcium from bones; that “lost” calcium also could end up in the kidneys as stones.
4. Boosting Brain Health
A beer a day may help keep Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia at bay, researchers say.
A 2005 study tracking the health of 11,000 older women showed that moderate drinkers (those who consumed about one drink a day) lowered their risk of mental decline by as much as 20 percent, compared to non-drinkers. In addition, older women who downed a drink a day scored as about 18 months “younger,” on average, on tests of mental skills than the non-drinkers.
5. Reduced Cancer Risk
A Portuguese study found that marinating steak in beer eliminates almost 70 percent of the carcinogens, called heterocyclic amines (HCAs) produced when the meat is pan-fried. Researchers theorize that beer’s sugars help block HCAs from forming.
Scientists also have found that beer and wine contain about the same levels of antioxidants, but the antioxidants are different because the flavonoids found in hops and grapes are different.
6. Boosting Vitamin Levels
A Dutch study, performed at the TNO Nutrition and Food Research Institute, found that beer-drinking participants had 30 percent higher levels of vitamin B6 levels in their blood than their non-drinking counterparts, and twice as much as wine drinkers. Beer also contains vitamin B12 and folic acid.
7. Guarding Against Stroke
Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health found that moderate amounts of alcohol, including beer, help prevent blood clots that block blood flow to the heart, neck and brain—the clots that cause ischemic stroke, the most common type.
8. Reduced Risk for Diabetes
Drink up: A 2011 Harvard study of about 38,000 middle-aged men found that when those who only drank occasionally raised their alcohol intake to one to two beers or other drinks daily, their risk of developing type 2 diabetes dropped by 25 percent. The researchers found no benefit to quaffing more than two drinks. The researchers found that alcohol increases insulin sensitivity, thus helping protect against diabetes.
9. Lower Blood Pressure
Wine is fine for your heart, but beer may be even better: A Harvard study of 70,000 women ages 25 to 40 found that moderate beer drinkers were less likely to develop high blood pressure—a major risk factor for heart attack—than women who sipped wine or spirits.
10. Longer Life
In a 2005 review of 50 studies, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that moderate drinkers live longer. The USDA also estimates that moderate drinking prevents about 26,000 deaths a year, due to lower rates of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
These benefits appear to apply in other countries as well, with an earlier study reporting that, “if European beer drinkers stopped imbibing, there would be a decrease in life expectancy of two years—and much unhappiness.”
Who loves me?
No more complaining about drinking beers with the bros from the old lady for everyone.....

What goes with beer better than a good pizza. Its like peanut butter and jelly but for adults.
Here is a pizza commercial that you must watch and understand that they take their pizza seriously.

Its summer here in the states and its time to chill the fuck out and take some R&R. Wanted to hit this thread with some things. Truthfully I hope all are good and really dont take all this shit too seriously since it gets you nothing for doing so.

By Evan S. Benn, Esquire
We don't usually judge a brew by its nutrition label, but if you're going to anyway, these are your best (and best-tasting) options — rated on our beer expert's quasi-scientific pint scale, from not terrible for you to actually pretty good. Bottoms up.
I.C. Light
Surprisingly, this light lager from Pittsburgh doesn't taste like water. At only 96 calories and about 4.1 percent alcohol by volume, it's a solid choice for warm weather that won't weigh you down.
Special ingredients: None.

Simply put, Shmaltz Brewing Co.'s beers are full of shtick, as is the case with this doppelbock-dubbel hybrid brewed with 600 gallons of Concord grape juice (the kind used in the Passover-friendly Manischewitz wine).
Gimmicky or not, this beer really tastes good, proving that grape juice is just as deliciously healthful in beer as it is in wine.
Special ingredients: Concord grape juice.

Guinness Draught
The Guinness ad guys were a little overzealous with their old "Guinness is good for you" campaign. Still, I love to see the look of surprise on people's faces when I tell them that the creamy, malty Irish dry stout is actually pretty low in calories (126) and alcohol (4.2 percent).
Special ingredients: None.

Three Floyds Gumballhead
A recent study by American and German researchers found that wheat beers can help runners fight off muscle inflammation and respiratory problems. But you don't have to be a runner to enjoy the health benefits of Gumballhead, a refreshing, citrusy beer that's one of the best wheat ales brewed in the U.S.
Special ingredients: American red wheat.

Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus
This gorgeous beer from Cantillon, one of Belgium's best and most respected breweries, will dispel any thought you have about fruit-based beers being syrupy-sweet or, dare I say, "girlie."
When fresh, the crisp, tart, vitamin C-loaded raspberry flavors shine. With a few years of age, the sour notes from this wild-fermented lambic become more pronounced, yielding an even more brilliant concoction.
Special ingredients: Raspberries

Stone/Ishii/Baird Japanese Green Tea IPA
Okay, maybe this is more charitable than healthy, but California's Stone Brewing Co. teamed up with Ishii and Baird Brewing to create this beer to aid Japan's earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.
The IPA, set to be released in mid-July 2011, clocks in at 9 percent ABV. It's brewed with antioxidant-rich green tea as well as a new variety of hops called Aramis, grown in France's Alsace region. Some Japanese Sorachi Ace hops are also thrown in for good measure.
Special ingredients: Japanese Sencha green tea, Aramis and Sorachi Ace hops.

Left Hand Good Juju
Eastern healers have long preached the medicinal properties of ginger, citing it as a homeopathic cure for everything from headaches to diabetes.
We're not saying you won't get a hangover if you drink too many Good Jujus, but the fresh root that goes into each batch lends a pleasant flavor that's not dissimilar from unsweetened ginger ale.
Special ingredients: Ginger.

O'Fallon Black Hemp Black Ale
Missouri's O'Fallon Brewery imports toasted hemp seeds from Canada to make this black ale (the feds even make them test to ensure the seeds contain no THC, the euphoria-producing compound in marijuana).
The seeds add a nutty flavor to the beer, and they're said to be heart-healthy and can lead to lower blood pressure.
Special ingredients: Toasted hemp seeds.

Major Tom's Pomegranate Wheat
You remember what we said about wheat beers, right? Add to that the superfood powers of pomegranate, and you've got yourself a pretty healthy beer from the Fort Collins Brewery.
Special ingredients: Pomegranate juice.
Calories: 145
Rating: 3 out of 4
Short's Spruce Pilsner
I love the way the hop-forward flavors of this pilsner dance with the bold, forest-like flavors from the spruce needles.
And in case you didn't know, spruce is known to help poor circulation, stress, and joint stiffness — so drink up.
Special ingredients: Michigan Blue Spruce tips.

Rating: 3 out of 4
Porterhouse Oyster Stout
Vegetarians be damned, Ireland's Porterhouse Brewing Co. is one of the few breweries that still use actual oysters in the making of their oyster stout. Bivalves and malty stout beers have been paired for meals since the 18th century, but it wasn't until 1929 that a New Zealand brewery thought to put them together in a single glass.
Porterhouse Oyster Stout gives you all the protein- and mineral-rich properties of oysters without the fishy taste.
Special ingredients: Oysters.

Lambrucha
A Chicago couple combined his love of Belgian lambics with her fondness for fermented kombucha tea to create Lambrucha, a tart, funky, lemony brew with a dry finish.
At just 3.5 percent alcohol by volume and with all the good-for-you stuff that kombucha drinkers swear by — vitamins B and C, as well as help with digestion and blood circulation — this beer's a standout.
Special ingredients: Green tea kombucha.
Calories: 105
Rating: 3.5 out of 4
Upland Blackberry Lambic
The blackberries that make up most of the flavor profile of this beer are packed with health-boosting polyphenols and anthocyanins that can help stave off cancer and heart disease.
But if you want a bottle, you're gonna have to line up: The Indiana craft brewery that makes it takes reservations once a year for the special release, and you have to pick up your haul in Hoosier land.
Special ingredients: Blackberries.

The Healthiest Beer on Earth: Sam Adams Light
Boston Beer Co.'s "light" option is one of the few to far exceed its labeling. The rich feel in your mouth, toasty malts, and zippy hops are almost as robust in this light lager (119 calories) as they are in its big brother, Samuel Adams Boston Lager. For a bottle you can find in about any supermarket cooler, you won't do better.
Special ingredients: None.
