I leave for parris island in 17 days, is there any advice or tips anyone would mind giving me?

keep you mouth shut and eyes open...on a serious note. Basic is easy. a lot of hype goes into it and in the end it is really not that hard. if you do what i said first you will be okay. you need to learn all you can.
