I vaguely remember these pics from some article and I want to say it had something to do with the guy over packing his rounds.... I need to find the article though, don't take my word for it. I know nothing about reloading ammo.

I think your right Malice.Where I found the pics it said cheap ammo,But it looks like an overload to me.I reload shotgun shells and it don't take much to overload one, depending on the powder you use.

It's easy to fuck up reloading, I reload 5.56 and .223........apparently 5.56 has a thicker wall then 223 so you can't load a 5.56 with a 223 load.... I did quite a bit of research and talking to people that do it before I was comfortable attempting it, it's easy as long as you know what your doing but it can get dangerous real quick

Yep, the pressure for 5.56 is also quite a bit higher than the ammunition for .223. A friend of mine said he had some problems firing .223 out of his 5.56 AR-15, but it should work fairly well, as compared to firing 5.56x45 NATO out of a .223 Rem.

If you have a 5.56 barreled AR then you can fire both 5.56 and 223, if your rifle barrel is stamped 223 then dont fire 5.56.......

There are Armalite chambers as well as Wylde that are sort of a happy medium that will fire both.

SAAMI and Nato measure their chamber pressures at different locations so even though a 5.56 is around 60000 psi it's really around 80000 psi if compared to saami specs

Thats where peoples mistakes start ya know....they think hey it's only 60000 and my rifle can handle 78000 so I'm safe and then shit happens
