MAULED Rhianna Kidd lies bandaged in a hospital bed after being savaged by two snarling Rottweilers.
The beasts knocked the 10-year-old off her bike in Dundee then tore into her face, ears, arms and legs - with her jaw broken in two places.
Rhianna's heroic gran told last night how she screamed "just keep pedalling" - as the schoolgirl tried to flee the snarling beasts.

Then brave Irene Grady, 46, rescued Rhianna from the jaws of the powerful dogs as they knocked the terrified youngster over.
Irene told The Scottish Sun she feared the worst as she watched the horror unfold from her window as Rhianna cycled to visit her at her home in Dundee.
She said: "I saw the dogs around her and thought 'I don't like the look of this'. I shouted to her 'keep pedalling, just keep pedalling'. But the next second they had her on the ground.
"I just ran to her. Rhianna managed to get up but they knocked her down again.

"They were like fighting machines. They're brutes. They were like bulls, they had massive heads. It was horrific, absolutely horrific.
"It was a nightmare. I can still hear her screams."
Irene dashed to Rhianna's aid and the out-of-control dogs - who were roaming the streets unsupervised - backed off.
But they then STALKED Irene and the bloodied schoolgirl as they made their way to the safety of the shaken gran's house.
Irene said: "When I got to Rhianna I picked her up and got her as close as I could to me.
Growling
"Then I told her, 'Darling, we're going to walk slow, we're not going to run'. But one of the dogs was right at the back of me as we walked across to the house.
"Even after we were inside the house the Rottweilers were at the door growling to get in.
"Rhianna collapsed on the settee. She was covered in blood and her clothes were shredded."
The attack was so savage that pretty Rhianna had to undergo three hours of emergency surgery and will need skin grafts.
And our exclusive pic of Rhianna recovering in hospital shows the Rottweilers came just inches from ripping out her throat.
Irene added: "She had two metal pins put in her jaw. It was broken in two places. She'll have them there for the rest of her life.
"She has a bite under her chin and I'm just thankful the dogs never got her throat or things could have been a lot worse."

Last night Rhianna's dad Neil Kidd and mum Lisa were at their daughter's bedside.
Bingo worker Neil left Rhianna to cycle 100 yards to her gran's while he went to catch a bus - safe in the knowledge Irene would be watching from the window.
Neil, 32, said: "I got the phone call four minutes after I left her.
"I was in shock as I ran back to Irene's house and saw her cuddled in Irene's arms.
"There was blood everywhere. Rhianna was shaking. There was blood all over her face.
"When the paramedics cut her trousers off, you could see she had deep bites on her left leg and when they cut off her cardigan there were deep bite marks on the front and back of her right arm.
"I cannot believe she managed to fight them off and got up twice - she is so brave.
"She is hurting a lot, especially her jaw, and she is struggling to speak, but she is doing OK.
"Her arm and leg are bandaged up but we have been told the plastic surgery has gone well."
"She doesn't really want anyone to see her and she's just asking 'Why did it have to be me?'
"She's always loved all animals but now she is terrified of dogs."
Mum Lisa, 30 - who returned from a holiday at 6am on Sunday five hours before the attack - said tougher laws are needed to control potentially dangerous dogs.
The student criminologist - who is separated from Neil - said: "I want something to be done about these dogs, because this kind of thing has to stop. People shouldn't be able to keep dogs like that."

She added Rhianna has been crying a lot with the pain. Lisa said: "The nerves on one side of her face have been affected but it may be caused by swelling or bruising and we are hoping it's not permanent.

"She can remember it all and doesn't want to talk too much. She only said she was cycling her bike and the dog grabbed her and pulled her off. It kept going for her.
"It's the worst feeling for a mum but she was in sight of either Neil or my mum the whole time."
A woman who was in charge of the savage pets, Sarah Vick - also known by the surname Kerr - was arrested yesterday.
The 33-year-old mum-of-four was looking after the dogs for her estranged partner Derek Adam, 37, who said his pets had changed "like Jekyll and Hyde".
Builder Derek added he was full of "regret" and that his 11-year-old daughter Erin is a pal of Rhianna's.
He said: "That poor little girl was just out on her bike. She never did anything wrong.
"I know her - she played with my daughter. I can't apologise enough. I have the deepest regrets. I think of my own kids."
Destroyed
Derek said he had asked for his dogs - named Big Boy and Pretty Girl - to be destroyed.

He said: "They have always been fine with my kids. You think you know how well behaved they are and then out of the blue this happens. It's like Jekyll and Hyde." Cops said the dogs have not been destroyed yet.
A police spokeswoman confirmed a 33-year-old woman had been charged in connection with the attack and a full report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A new law on dogs was passed by the Scottish Parliament earlier this year and is being implemented by local authorities. Under the Control of Dogs (Scotland) Act, councils will have to compile lists of potentially dangerous dogs and can order a pet be put down if owners fail to comply with safety measures.

Mums unite in laws plea
THE mum of Rottweiler mauling victim Rhianna Kidd is launching a crusade to toughen up the dangerous dogs law.
Lisa Grady, 30, will join veteran campaigner Veronica Lynch, 58 - whose daughter Kellie was killed by the vicious dogs in 1989. Lisa said: "We are looking to join forces to change the law. Children have the right to go out and play"
We told on Tuesday how Rhianna, 10, suffered horror injuries in Dundee on Sunday. She's recovering in hospitaal.
Lisa added last night: "Rhianna got out of bed for the first time today."

Toni is scared to look in the mirror

A TRAUMATISED schoolgirl mauled by a fighting dog has been left too scared to look in the mirror - after the snarling beast ripped open her face in the savage attack.
Little Toni Clannachan was pinned to the ground by the vicious American Akita before the brutal animal shook her in its powerful jaws.
The ten-year-old was rushed to hospital where she is now recovering from her terrifying ordeal.
But last night her dad James Dixon told how nurses caring for her have had to cover up all the mirrors on the ward - because the youngster is still too scared to see the effects of the horror attack.
Devastated James, 40, said: "She doesn't want to see her face. She is frightened to go to the toilet in case she sees a mirror. The nurses have covered them up for her.
"She loves animals, she has a terrier of her own. But she's been asking if the dog has been put down - she is that frightened."

The horror is the second sickening dog attack in a week after ten-year-old Rhianna Kidd was savaged by Rottweilers in Dundee.
James told how he had found Toni at the home of the Akita's owner, Gaynor McCabe, with her 11-year-old son Gabriel and another boy before the horror happened on Tuesday.
He said: "The dog was just sitting out the back at the bottom of the garden and the kids were playing quite happily with two ferrets that Gaynor keeps.
"Toni was going to stay for dinner, so I said I was going home to tell her mum where she was."
But moments after James left the house in Kilmarnock, Gabriel's friend raced after him and told him the powerful beast - named Kruger - had turned on Toni.
And the dad was horrified when he saw her devastating injuries.
James said: "I'd only got about a hundred yards when the other boy came running after me to tell me the dog had bitten Toni.
"I ran back expecting her to have a bite on the arm. But I walked into the front room and she had a tea towel over her mouth, a five-inch hole in her cheek and her bottom lip was hanging off - you could see her teeth.
"She wasn't crying, she was just sitting there in total shock.
"There wasn't as much blood as you'd think, just a great big hole. It was really shocking."
Gaynor's mother called an ambulance and Toni was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital. James travelled with his daughter, while an another neighbour told the youngster's mum Carol Clannachan, 39, what had happened.
Ton needed four hours of emergency surgery and around 150 stitches.
She spent a night in intensive case before being moved to the children's ward, where her condition is described as stable. Her parents, who also have 19-year-old daughter Kayleigh, have kept a vigil at her bedside.
And James revealed brave Toni has been able to describe the attack to police.
He said: "She told me she came to the side of the house to say cheerio to me and as she turned the dog just jumped up and grabbed her by the face.
"She said it pinned her to the floor and shook her about.
"I believe the boy who lives over the fence jumped over and pulled the dog off her. He rescued her and could well have saved her life. I can't thank the lad enough."
Akitas - originally from Japan - were used to hunt wild animals including BEARS and are fierce fighters. James said he and Carol had read about the previous attack on little Rhianna and called for more to be done about the growing menace of devil dogs.

He said: "We saw the story about the girl in Dundee, but you never imagine that it is going to be your child.
"An inch lower and it would have ripped her throat out. We are devastated about what has happened but glad it wasn't worse.
"Dogs like that shouldn't be in the house. They aren't bred as pets. It is called a fighting dog. They are killing machines."
Neighbours in the area said owner Gaynor, 41, ran a dog grooming business but had been warned before about her animal's behaviour.
One local, who helped drag the dog off Toni, said: "She could have been killed."
Strathclyde Police last night said the dog would be held while they investigate the attack.
Gaynor refused to answer the door at her semi-detached house.
