Terrorist Shot and Injured Two Israelis

In the second such incident in two days, terrorists in a passing vehicle opened fire on two Israelis driving near Kochav Hashachar
On Wednesday evening (Sep. 1) two people were injured when terrorists opened fire on them while they were driving in the area of Rimonim Junction near the Kochav Hashachar village. The man’s injuries have been categorized as moderate to severe and the woman’s injuries have been categorized as light. Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency response unit, reported that the two were taken to the Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
IDF Army Radio reported early assessments that terrorists opened fire on the two Israelis from a passing vehicle. A large IDF force was immediately sent to the scene to investigate the incident. Zachi Heller, the Operational Spokesperson for Magen David Adom, reported earlier that the emergency response teams which arrived on the scene treated two people, one of whom was severely injured and the other lightly injured.
On the previous day (Aug. 31) four Israeli civilians were shot dead when terrorists from a passing vehicle opened fire on them near Bnei Naim, east of Hebron, while driving on Route 60. Those killed were Yizhak and Talia Aimes, Avishai Shindler and Kochba Even-Chaim.
