I have a question for all those active and non-active military staff out there.
The personal hand held clips that we all love and adore on AC are what my question is based around. Is there clearance needed for a pilot of any kind to bring a personal camcorder on board to tape his mission (training or otherwise)? Are troops on the ground permitted to tape their missions as well?
I just think there must be some security concerns as well as safety concerns. A loose camera in a cockpit can be deadly and taping in a gunfight can be just as deadly when you should be shooting your weapon instead of with your camera.
I love the personal clips on here, but I'm just curious about the rules and guidelines....
