I joined the army was sworn in Tuesday, now army active, no airborne contracts -,- so i got a three yr contract for the infantry, i ship out for basic January, 11th 2011

When you show up to FT Benning at Reception Battalion, tell them you want to go Airborne. If they cant get you a contract, they can probably assign you to an airborne unit, which means you'll be sent automatically anyways.
Good for you though. Congrats. I hope you become a "lifer" like me.

congrats man. my first post here but i was really looking into joining the military with a friend who wants to also. why did you want to join the army as opposed to the marines? just wondering is all. good luck man.
